On Friday's during the November and December, we will be presenting the best new holiday music that Nashville has on tap. Music we hope you will add to your holiday playlist, not just for this year, but for holiday seasons to come. Today we feature the pairing of two of the biggest superstars in Nashville, coming together for a new version of a holiday classic.

After winning season 4 of the USA Network's Nashville Star in 2006, Chris Young was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his self-titled debut album the same year. The album included several songs he performed on the show, including two singles, "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me", both of which were top-40 singles. The album was not met favorably, either critically or in sales. To date, it is the only of Young's 5 studio albums to have not received gold or better status recognition from the RIAA. It is also his only album to not feature a top-5 single. In 2011, Young's single "Voices" was named the ACA Single of the Year; his four other studio albums have produced 11 top-5 singles, including 7 that have reached the #1 position.

For many years, Brad Paisley has been considered the best guitar player in Nashville. Born and raised in Glen Dale, West Virginia, Brad's grandfather, Warren Jarvis, himself a pretty good country picker, gave him his first guitar at age 8, a Sears Danelectro Silvertone, and taught the youngster to play. Before long Paisley was performing at Christmas pageants and Mother's Day events, writing his first song "Born On Christmas Day" when he was just 13.

Signing with first EMI Publishing, and then Arista Records Nashville after graduating from Nashville's Belmont University in 1995, Paisley has released 10 studio albums, all of which have been certified gold or better by the RIAA. These albums have given birth to 32 top-10 singles, 19 of those have reached #1. For his efforts, Paisley's trophy case includes 3 Grammy Awards, 14 ACM Awards and 14 CMA Awards. Paisley, along with Carrie Underwood, also completed co-hosting duties on the 50th Annual CMA Awards, the 9th year the duo has co-hosted the ceremony.

On October 14, Young released his holiday themed album, It Must Be Christmas. The album is an interesting mix of traditional and modern holiday music, including collaborations with R&B group Boys II Men, country legend Alan Jackson and Paisley. And it's the track with Paisley that's in our holiday spotlight today. Chris Young featuring Brad Paisley with "The First Noel" is today's Catch of the Holiday, new holiday music that you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
