Today we feature an artist who has been standing on a stage as long as she can remember. Of course that stage early in life was a fireplace hearth in her families home in Lake Ontario, Canada, but even then, country music was and would always be a very important part of her life, a vessel for her to touch and help others.

Nicole Oliver grew up with the songs of George Jones, Elvis Presley and the Mandrells wafting through her Lake Ontario home. She fell in love with words and how they affect those that they reach, learning early in her life on how to pair and play with words to connect with those they touched. Nicole began crafting her own songs while still in middle school, by high school she was performing with several bands performing in the Buffalo, NY area, crossing genres, but she always seemed to return to her roots, country music. In 1999, Nicole finished as the runner-up is the Buffalo Nashville Star Contest, and would cut a demo and take voice training courses, but in the end, real live took over.

Oliver would transition to teaching, using music in her work with special needs students. Marriage, teaching and children filled her life, but music was never too far off. Finally getting her chance to record another demo a few years ago, Nicole jumped at the opportunity. The demo caught the attention of several people in

Nashville, including producer Danny Bailey, who after speaking with Oliver, would gather some of Nashville's best session musicians to work on her debut album. The album has been critically acclaimed, making several publications "ones to watch" lists, confirming her belief that dreams don't have a timeline, a ceiling or an expiration date.
