Today we wrap our run of holiday themed music we have been calling our 'Catch of the HoliDays', with a young singer and songwriter born and raised in the Houston, TX area, who started singing at a young age in her parent's living room. An artist who moved to Los Angeles at age 16, simply looking to challenge her artistry.

Olivia Lane has listened to country music for as long as she could remember. Her mother was a regional performer in her own right, and made sure at a young age that Olivia was exposed to strong female singers like Linda Ronstadt and Patsy Cline, along with other singers who had unique ways of expressing themselves. It's not unusual for Olivia to go from singing a Sugerland song in concert to Frank Sinatra without missing a beat.

After experiencing Los Angeles and the west-coast music scene, Lane's deep-down love of country music drew her to Nashville. She has put her efforts into songwriting, working with some of the biggest artisans in Music City. She has hosted a running local music series called 'Diva Jam' at listening rooms around Nashville, working with some of the top up-and-coming performers and songwriters that country music has to offer. Her debut EP, Love Thing was released in 2014 and has been followed by 3 more EPs, including 2016's self-titled released, and her 2015 acoustic project, Heart Unlocked, and is available by download.

Olivia is in our spotlight today, capping off our Friday series of holiday music, with her version of a holiday classic. Olivia Lane and "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree" is your Catch of the HoliDay, new holiday music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
