This week we will be spotlighting several unsigned or Indy label artists, taking the opportunity to look into the magic mirror of country music and possibly find one or two gems in the making. Today we turn our attention to a trio of sisters from Cleveland, MS who have had a turn in our spotlight once before.

Natalia, Christina and Hannah Morris started playing together as Southern Halo in 2009, but as sisters, their musical history together goes back much further than that. Haling from the home of the Delta Blues, the Morris sisters grew up in a community that nurtured their love of music. Their first performance together took place in a grocery when the youngest sister, Hannah, was just nine.

In the years since the sisters have found their own, unique blend of modern and classic country, adding a dash of southern rock along with a pinch of the delta blues that are brought together by sweet, smooth sisterly harmonies that are fast becoming a trademark for Southern Halo. They have honed their sound opening for established acts like Brantley Gilbert, Sara Evans and Old Dominion, even playing the legendary  Ryman Auditorium.

The sisters released their self-titled debut album in late 2015, produced by Catt Gravitt and Gerald O'Brien, featuring the lead single "Little White Dress" which was featured in January of 2016. The single charted on the Music Row Country Breakout chart as did the follow-up "Rewind", released in 2016; today we turn the spotlight on the third single from the album. Southern Halo and "Living Like That" is our Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
