Today's Catch of the Day comes from an artist we haven't heard from in quite some time. His last trip to the top 20 was 2002's "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)" which was the lead-off single from his album Waitin' On Joe.

Steve Azar has had his struggles in the music industry. After the success of "I Don't Have To Be Me..." his record company seemed to pull their support of the album Waitin' On Joe, which peaked at #29. The follow up single, the album's title track peaked at #28 and the next single failed to chart. After that, Azar underwent surgery to correct a lesion on his right vocal cord. His next two singles failed to chart and he was released by Mercury records.

He signed with Midas Records Nashville in 2006, set to release a third album. but when his first single failed to chart, he left Midas to form his own label (Dang Records) and has struggled to crack the top 40 since. Azar has kept busy, touring with Bob Seger, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and others but album sales and radio play have eluded him.

Azar is back with a new album with a title and release date yet to be determined. the first single from that project is today's Catch. Your Friday Catch of the Day is Steve Azar, featuring Sophie Young, and "The Sky Is Falling." New music you haven't heard, but you will be hearing it again...
