The Chick-fil-A on Cache Road is back open today (08-19-20) after being temporally shutdown due to COVID-19 concerns. The entire restaurant has been completely strip cleaned inside and out and thoroughly sanitized after last week's exposure to the Coronavirus. They'll be open from 10:30am to 8:00pm and I'll be hitting the drive-thru for lunch today to get my chicken on. It's great to have them back up and running.

Last Thursday the news broke that the Chick-fil-A on Cache Road was shutdown after it was discovered that an employee had tested positive for COVID-19 and other employees were exposed. They immediately closed the restaurant and those who were exposed have been self quarantined for the suggested 2 week period. When I spoke to owner/manager Jonathan Pickett his first concern was for the health and safety of his staff and customers. They immediately shutdown and began the process of sanitation, limiting exposure and following all the familiar CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommendations for combating COVID-19.

Chick-fil-A has done an amazing job of adhering to all the safety and health protocols throughout the pandemic and was doing everything correctly and consistently. It just goes to show that you can follow all the rules, do everything right and still have issues with COVID-19. It was especially bad in that they had just reopened after being closed for a few months remodeling and expanding the restaurant, parking lot and drive-thru. It's a brand new Chick-fil-A, bigger and better all around.

I know exactly what I'll be doing for lunch and dinner today, hitting the drive-thru and getting my chicken sandwich on. I'm glad they were able to fight back and get reopened.
