To mark the 10 year anniversary of the musical "Hamilton," Disney will release the film of the musical for a limited time in theaters on Sept. 5. Only select theaters in Oklahoma will be showing the film for a limited time, so if you're wanting to catch the Tony Award winning musical on the big screen, then you'll want to make sure to get tickets at the right movie theater.

On August 6, Disney released the official trailer for the "Hamilton" theatrical release. It features clips from the movie, that is already available on Disney+, plus glimpses of the original cast. The movie will be the filmed version of the Broadway musical that was released on Disney+ in 2020, but it will also feature exclusive interviews with the original cast, which includes writer Lin-Manual Miranda.

"Hamilton" has been on Broadway since 2015, and during its debut year, it received 16 nominations at the 70th Tony Awards and was awarded 11, including Best Musical. "Hamilton" also received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2016.
