The Lawton Police Department (LPD) is asking for your help in identifying a suspect who stole a handgun from a local pawn shop. If you know who this person is and can assist LPD detectives with any details or information about this person you're encouraged to call (580)-581-3552 with any tips you can provide.

LPD posted the poster below on their official Facebook page earlier this morning seeking the general public's help in tracking down and identifying this individual. According to the police reports, he stole a handgun from a display case at a pawn shop and then left in a beige-colored Toyota sedan. See the photos below:

If you know this person pictured below contact the Lawton Police Department Lawton Police Department Lawton Police Department

Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of other details, at least on the LPD Facebook page about this case. Not too sure which pawn shop it was, or what kind of handgun was stolen. Hopefully, they'll be able to find this individual and retrieve the stolen property. Considering it's a firearm, the sooner the better.

Once caught he'll be ringing in the New Year behind bars for larceny and possibly other charges. Criminals are getting bolder these days and things are getting crazier by the second. I'll be interested to see the crime stats for Lawton, Fort Sill to see how 2022 compares to other years. Are things getting better, or worse? In the meantime, if you're able to help LPD with any information give them a call.
