Week two for the MacArthur Highlanders finds an interesting match-up with a familiar city foe - the Lawton High Wolverines. The Wolverines are coming off of a big momentous win of their own last Friday night over city rival Eisenhow with the most lopsided score in the history of the series between the two schools - 63-9.

Both the Highlanders and Wolverines are coming off victories to start 1-0 early in the season and have people talking throughout the state about both programs. Most fans understand that the first 3 weeks of the season are non-district games and do not count toward playoffs, but don't tell that to the boys on the "Hill" who know playing these games the next two weeks are about far more - like bragging rights that last the whole year and a City Championship which includes the "Generals trophy" a traveling trophy that's housed and displayed in the winners trophy case. No big deal? I think not!

These two programs have worked very hard over the summer to see what their season will look like going forward. I for one will not be missing my ringside seat for this match-up in the press box along with our broadcast crew of Jay, Maynard and Chase. Mac will be on the visiting side this week so come and fill up the south side of Cameron stadium and don't forget to listen along to the broadcast on your smartphone right here on klaw.com.

Meet us right back here for a recap after this weeks game complete with pics from the game.

Go Big Mac!
