What a way to finish out a season at 10-0 and a undefeated season for only the second time in school history, the last time coming in 2007. The Highlanders extend their season called play-offs and a run at a state championship and a gold ball. Which this senior class has been working hard at for the last several years. Everyone of them have made it the goal to bring that trophy up to the hill to be added to the trophy case, which currently holds 4 silver runner-up trophies.

The first week of play-offs look a little different in class 5-A because of the OSSAA ruling of a ineligible player at Guthrie that took the number 1 ranked and a 10-0 record to now 2-8 and out of the play-offs. Guthrie is appealing the ruling and their case will be heard this Wednesday at 9:00 am. If the ruling stands the MacArthur Highlanders will be hosting El Reno this Friday night at Cameron stadium at 7:30 pm. In addition band director Larry Hatch is working on a  little surprise for halftime for the fans from the Highlander Regiment. MacArthur is just 4 weeks away from their goal which started back in a very hot July. We hope everyone of the Highlander fans can make it Friday to give our team home field advantage with a large loud crowd. we hope to see you this Friday. Bring your headsets Steve and I will be broadcasting live and you can tell those out of town they can listen live on this website...I will be giving a update on Wednesday about the Guthrie ruling so check back with us then. Until then go Big Mac and Hoka Hey!
