One of the biggest surprises in country music in 2014 was the emergence of a pair of 18 year olds, one from Texas and one from Oklahoma, with what many considered a novelty hit.

Instead, Madison "Maddie" Marlow and Taylor "Tae" Dye took "Girl In a Country Song" to the top of the charts, becoming the first female duo to hit number one with their debut single since the Wreckers did it in 2006. Maddie and Tae provided a voice for younger, female country fans who may have started to feel left out in the world of 'bro-country".

The "flip side" of the single (as we called them in the old days) was an unreleased song called "After the Storm Blows Through", a melodic ballad that features the pairs incredible harmonies.

Recently, backed by only acoustic guitar and subtle fiddle, Maddie and Tae took to the stage of the legendary Grand Ole Opry for the first time, to perform "After the Storm Blows Through". The pair harmonized like sisters, owning the Opry House stage like they had been performing there for years, with a performance of pure country magic, justifying the hype that has surrounded them.

Maddie & Tae's current single "Fly" is quickly climbing the chart, currently sitting at #30. The pair are spending the spring and summer on the road with Kip Moore, Canaan Smith and Dierks Bentley for Bentley's Sounds of Summer 2015 tour. They'll be performing in Dallas at the Gexa Energy Pavilion on August 29th and in arenas across the country all summer long.
