For those Oklahomans that dream of a quintessential fall may just get lucky as this year Oklahoma is expected to have a brisk and rainy fall. The question remaining is when will fall be fully ushered into the Sooner State.

The first day of fall for 2024 is slated for Sept. 22, and Oklahoma is known to have warm September months with the first day of fall often experiencing temperatures in the high 80s. Based on previous years' data, the first day of fall in Oklahoma this year could see daytime highs in the low 80s and evening temperatures in the low 70s.

Once Oklahoma gets into October, daytime temperatures will slowly begin topping out in the low 70s and then into the high 60s by the end of the month. And once the calendar changes to November, daytime temperatures could start feeling a little chillier with day time highs in the mid 50s.

Oklahoma could see first frost by Halloween.

The first frost is a sure sign that fall has arrived in Oklahoma. Most of Oklahoma could see the first frost by mid October while most may see it by Halloween. But those in southeast Oklahoma may not see their first frost until early November.

Last year, most of Oklahoma saw winter weather on Halloween. But this year, for Oklahoma, the Farmers' Almanac is expected dry and windy weather for trick-or-treating.
