Oklahoma To See Cooler Temps and Increased Rain Chances Through July
July in Oklahoma is typically hot and dry. But this summer has been unseasonably cool and Oklahoma isn't in a drought for the first time in six years. And it looks like the cooler temperatures and increased rain chances are expected to continue through the middle of July.
The NOAA recently released its extended forecast for July 14-18 and during this time period, Oklahoma is expected to see below average temperatures and above average chances for precipitation.
Based on the graph, it looks like most of Oklahoma will be on the cool side next week with the coolest area being in the panhandle. But it looks like a small corner in southeast Oklahoma could see some above average temperatures.
As for rain, all of Oklahoma has a 40-50 percent chance to seeing above average precipitation July 14-18.
