
Severe Storm Chances Return To Oklahoma This Weekend
Something is brewing, and it's not a witch's cauldron. Sever weather is getting ready to make its way back to Oklahoma this weekend, blowing in large hail and damaging winds.
As of Thursday, Oct. 16, most of Oklahoma has a marginal chance for severe weather Friday evening and into the overnight hours. Another chance of severe storms is possible Saturday afternoon.
A cold front will push this next storm system into Oklahoma. Severe storms are expected to widespread with the biggest concerns being large hail and damaging winds. However, the system will also drop temperatures across Oklahoma on Sunday.
Friday will have the highest chance for widespread storms across Oklahoma.
Friday is when a majority of Oklahoma will have a chance for widespread severe storms. The storms may begin to develop in northern and northwest Oklahoma on Friday morning.
As the cold front moves through the state, storm chances will gradually increase across southwest and central Oklahoma through afternoon and evening hours. The severe storms Friday are expected to continue into the overnight hours.

Southeast Oklahoma could see more severe storms Saturday afternoon.
Severe storm chances will continue in Oklahoma on Saturday, but mostly in eastern Oklahoma. This part of state could see severe storms in the afternoon ahead of a dryline and cold front.

Temperatures expected to drop Sunday across Oklahoma.
According to KFOR Chief Meteorologist Mike Morgan, Sunday across Oklahoma could be the "most gorgeous day since early May." Morning temperatures across the state could be anywhere from the upper 30s to the low 50s.
