Fall storm season is getting ready to ramp back up in Oklahoma later this week. The National Weather Service in Norman is expecting much of Oklahoma to experience unsettled weather, starting Thursday morning and into Saturday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, a slow-moving system is expected to bring several rounds of rain into Oklahoma starting early Thursday morning. This system has the potential to last through Saturday afternoon.

As of Tuesday, Oct. 21, heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are possible.

Parts of Oklahoma could see localized flooding with the next storm system.

Only a few details are available about the upcoming storm system. More information will be available as we get closer to Thursday. But so far, the National Weather Service in Norman is expecting parts of Oklahoma to see localized flooding with the storm system. Parts of southeastern and eastern Oklahoma will be the main areas of concern.

The storm system is also expected to bring in severe storms that could produce hail and damaging wind gusts.

Southwest Oklahoma could see the first round of storms Thursday evening.

Southwest Oklahoma may be the first to see severe storms starting Thursday evening. These storms are expected to have large hail. The storms may also linger through Friday morning.

As of Tuesday, portions of southwest Oklahoma are in a marginal risk for severe storms.

A majority of Oklahoma will want to plan on another wet weekend. The state's highest chances for rain will be on Friday and Saturday. Several rounds of rain are expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, rain chances will gradually decrease from west to east on Saturday. Rain is expected to taper off Sunday afternoon.
