A Seasonable And Sunny Thanksgiving Is On Tap for Oklahoma
Oklahoma residents lucked out this Thanksgiving. It looks like Oklahoma will be seasonable and sunny on Thanksgiving Day this year. But that lovely fall weather won't last. Oklahoma is expected to be hit by winter as soon as December begins.
Ten years ago Oklahoma was hit with a historic ice storm Thanksgiving weekend. And it's looking like Oklahoma could see a repeat. Luckily, the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving may be spared this year. But come Dec. 1, all bets are off.
Oklahoma will have a sunny and seasonable Thanksgiving Day.
Oklahoma's Thanksgiving Day forecast will give residents quintessential fall weather. According to the National Weather Service in Norman, daytime highs this Thursday will be in the 50s and 60s with a side of mostly sunny skies and south winds from five to 10 miles per hour.

Oklahoma can expect a pattern change to start December.
After the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers have been enjoyed, December will be here, along with a cold air mass. According to the National Weather Service in Norman, a cold front over Thanksgiving weekend could bring in a cold air mass from Canada.
This cold air mass could linger through the first week of December, dropping temperatures well below average. But since we're still a week out, there are still a few uncertainties, like timing, strength and how much moisture will come with the system.
If there's a lot of moisture with the system, Oklahoma could enjoy snow to kickoff December. There's also a possibility that Oklahoma could have a repeat of 2015 and start off December with another historic ice storm.
