You don't need to be country to know "Stand By Your Man" by Tammy Wynette. It was released in 1968 and it's still a solid part of the American culture.

 That's one of the reasons it's on the National Recording Registry's new list of songs and sounds. That list of 25 songs and soundswas released this past Wednesday by the Library of Congress.

An older classic, "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" by The Sons of the Pioneers, also is being added today. This 1934 recording features the group's three founding members: Roy Rogers, Tim Spencer and Bob Nolan.
