Third Time’s A Charm: City of Lawton Utility Pay Portal is Now Open!
There have been some challenges. But with new and exciting processes, there usually are. Doing things we've never done before is exciting, and the City of Lawton is excited to say that the Payment Portal for the City of Lawton Utility Payments is now officially open as of last Friday, March 25, 2022.
Here are the instructions for opening a new account, which is required for this new payment portal.
To access the Payment Portal, citizens must first set up an account within the Self Service Portal at this link: selfservice.lawtonok.gov/css. Select “Self Service” and then
select “Register for new account.” To create an account, citizens must have a valid email address. After creating an account, citizens will need to select “Utility Billing” to
link their utility account. Citizens will need their name, account number and customer number when signing up within the portal. If you have an existing utility bill, the account number and customer number are available at the top, right-hand corner.
As you remember, the City first announced the upgrade to technology to make these online payments possible back in January including new software from Tyler Technologies, and a partnership with Liberty National Bank for processing payments.
For those of us who have been waiting patiently, the City of Lawton appreciates the patience. This service allows for one-time payments, or you can set up automatic payments, which for formerly only available with a canceled check, and processed manually each month.
This will make the bill payment process so streamlined. If you are interested in online payments, for your water needs, you can start the process here.
