People from around the world travel to Lawton just to spend time at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge! And cyclists who enjoy beautiful rides will get to enjoy the splendor of the mountains and historical Fort Sill during the annual Tour of the Wichitas bike ride.

This year's Tour of the Wichitas will take place Saturday, June 20. The ride will begin on Fort Sill at the Patriot Club. Riders have a choice of four routes that take them through Fort Sill and into the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.

Riders will choose from four routes to ride during Tour of the Wichitas.

Tour of the Wichitas isn't a competitive ride; it's more of a "stop-and-smell-the-roses" kind of ride. Cyclists will be able to choose from four different routes to ride during Tour of the Wichitas, including 19 mile, 34 mile, 48 mile, and 65 mile routes. All routes will take cyclists through historic Fort Sill and into the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.

Registration is now open for Tour of the Wichitas.

Cyclists who want to ride this year's Tour of the Wichitas can now pre-register online on the ride's official website. Online registration will be available through Thursday, June 18.

Riders can also register the day before the ride at packet pick-up and registration at the Fort Sill Patriot Club on Friday, June 19. The ride will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 20 at the Fort Sill Patriot Club. All riders are required to register for a Fort Sill visitors pass before the ride.
