On April 23 and 24, Our Blood Institute will give redbud tree seedlings to donors in Oklahoma.

Donors who give at an Our Blood Institute donor center on April 23 and 24 will receive a treed seedling from the Oklahoma Forestry Services. while supplies last. The seedling will be for a redbud tree that donors can take home and plant.

In a press release, President and CEO of Our Blood Institute Dr. John Armitage, said the tree will be a constant reminder to donors of how their donation positively impacted others.

"Donating blood already makes a lifesaving difference," Armitage said. "This is a chance to take that impact one step further. You're helping patients today and planting something that will last for years to come."
