Oklahoma has been enjoying fall-like temperatures this week. But it looks like temperatures will head back into the 90s next week before another cool down. Hopefully this next cool down will be the one that sticks.

Two cold fronts moved through Oklahoma this past week. It brought overnight temperatures down to below freezing and daytime temperatures in the 60s. Some areas of northern Oklahoma even received their first freeze of the year on Wednesday morning.

And on Thursday, Oklahoma City tied it's record low with 33 degrees that morning. The last time Oklahoma City had a morning at 33 degrees in October was 1976.

Warmer days will return to Oklahoma next week.

Oklahomans will be disappointed when looking at the temperatures for next week. Warmer temperatures are expected to return middle of next week, with the warmest temps on Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Wednesday, Oct. 23. Most of Oklahoma will see temperatures in the 80s, while others towards the south will experience 90 degrees again.

But after those two warm days, temperatures begin to go back down, pointing to another possible cold front. And when looking at the long-range forecast for the rest of October, temperatures continue to go down into November.
