4 Year Old Has Quarantine Meltdown

I think this little girl has the absolute best reaction to everything that's been going on over the past several months. We can all feel her pain and frustration about quarantine and all the shutdowns that have happened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It's been rough and I'm sure even harder on the kids so her meltdown in my book is justified.

Her explanation of how everything's shutdown and everything that's fun is closed. Even the ice cream truck and her favorite restaurant McDonald's is shutdown. I love how she wrapped it all up with "The only thing that's open . . . is nothing." Nailed it! Her dad tried to explain that they could go through the drive thru at McDonald's but she made another great point. "That's boring...Waiting for your food is boring, the playground is shutdown that's boring."

We're all feeling it believe me. Hopefully things will improve so we can all go back to normal, whatever that is. With the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases it's looking like a second wave is on the way and we may end up having to extend our quarantines and a lot of businesses will remain closed or shutdown until things change. Not to mention the upcoming school year, high school and college sports and all the other things on the horizon we normally look forward to. There's gotta be a light at the end of this tunnel and soon, fingers crossed.

In the meantime I guess we're stuck with it and we'll have to try to make the best of a really crappy situation.
