Today's focus is on an artist who is known more for his work as host of the tv program Maximum Archery-TV and American Rebel-TV, programs he has hosted on The Outdoor Channel for the past twelve years. An avid bow hunter, today's feature teams him with a group from country music's recent past, a hard workin', hard playin' band from Texas.

Known for his sometimes controversial stances and his no holds barred opinions, Andy Ross is an American Patriot of the first order. Ross' programs praise the outdoor life and the life of hunters, while also taking a regular stand on the right to bear arms. When not living the outdoor life, Ross has found time to release three albums, the most recent, 2015's Time To Fight. Songs of patriotism, songs of rebellion and songs of the outdoor life make up the album, stories that Ross knows and lives.

On the album, Ross teams with a group that rose to fame in the 90's, originally led by Tim Rushlow. Formed in 1988, Little Texas is a group that road the wave of country's surge in the 90's, left the scene for a while and rebounded and regrouped in the new millennium. Rushlow led the group until its

break-up in 1997, and when the group re-united in 2004, Steven Troy was on lead vocals, along with founding members Del Gray (drums), Porter Howell (lead guitar), Dwayne O'Brien (rhythm guitar) and Duane Propes (bass). Troy left the group in 2006 and Howell took the lead vocal slot and the band has continued to tour since. The original line-up recorded 4 albums, featuring 8 top-10 hits, with the single "My Love" being their lone #1 hit. In the years since the reunion, the new line-up has released two albums, including 2015's Young For A Long Time, for which they are currently touring to support.

Ross and Little Texas have come together for the latest single from the album Time To Fight. "Back on the Backroads" is in our spotlight as today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
