Another Thursday is upon us, and once again we present one of Nashville untapped riches of unsigned or independent label artists that we feel you need to know. Today, an artist from Arkansas who style and sound are sure to become familiar to country music listeners, who will be drawn as much by her sense of humor as they will be by her incredible music and songwriting talents.

In 2016, Arkansas native Ashley McBryde self released her debut EP Jalopies and Expensive Guitars. The project caught on quickly, becoming a Billboard "Heatseaker" and climbing into the iTunes top-20 and garnering McBride the attention of Q Prime Management, who handle acts like Eric Church, The Black Keys and Brothers Osborne. McBryde was signed to Q Prime Nashville and sent on the road with Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr and Chris Stapleton in 2016, while also working on a debut, full-length album.

Ashley has an interesting contemporary take on classic country music. You can definitely hear the influence of Miranda Lambert in her music and see it in the way she carries herself on and around a stage. Confidence exudes from McBryde, and she has made fans already of Eric Church and country music legend Marty Stewart. She recently made her debut on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage, also playing CMA Fest, while her debut single is heard regularly on Sirius/XM Radio.
