It's Thursday, and is our standard practice on the fourth day of the week, today we feature one of the great, unsigned or indy label artists that Nashville has to offer. Today we feature an artist from Texas whose love of music led her to teaching music in the Dominican Republic after graduating from college.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texan SaraBeth started singing about the same time she started walking. Her first song was "Frosty the Snowman" which she claims to have tortured her family with more than 500 times. As she grew, so did her appreciation for music, singing whenever she could, but her love for learning was even stronger. A self-professed "nerd" who didn't see herself becoming a musician, instead she was planning on a career as a business woman when she entered Baylor University after high school, choosing Entrepreneurship as her major.

It wasn't until after her college graduation she began to take music seriously. She took a teaching position in the Dominican Republic to pay off her college costs, and while she was there, she not only had the time of her life, but had an epiphany. When her younger brother was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, she saw it as a sign that she to should follow her dreams. So SaraBeth turned in her business suits for cowgirl boots and headed to Nashville.

In 2013, SaraBeth met Lonestar's Dean Sams, who almost immediately recognized the diamond in the rough he had found. Sams produced her 2014 debut album Anything Is Possible, which led to a successful European tour, as well as opening slots for top name country artists like Brantley Gilbert, Craig Morgan, Aaron Watson and the Charlie Daniels Band, as well as performing at CMA Fest.

In preparation for her follow-up project, SaraBeth put on her songwriter hat, working with some of Nashville's top songsmiths. While expanding her style since landing in Nashville, she still stays true to her Texas roots. She has continually churned out new music, including three EP's (2014's Obsessive, 2015's self-titled EP and her holiday project Cowboy For Christmas) and two albums, 2016's Girl Scout Cookie Monster and her brand new release, Full Speed Ahead.
