We're going way back for the K-LAW Saturday Classic. All the way back to December 2nd, 1957 - that's 55 years ago this weekend!
The song has been covered by just about everyone, from Haggard to Mellencamp. It came in at #67 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and was named one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. It was the eight country #1 for Elvis, and the last country #1 he would have until February 1977 when 'Moody Blue' topped the country chart. It's 'Jailhouse Rock'. Check out the classic video below.
