Hot and Humid Conditions Will Return to Oklahoma This Weekend
Oklahoma has enjoyed a week of cooler summer weather, but it looks like the heat and humidity will return this weekend. Temperatures are expected to rise back up into the low 100s.
Although July 4 in Oklahoma was filled with thunderstorms, it brought a most welcomed cold front. So Okies didn't mind delaying their fireworks by a few hours or days. Some even got some really cool pictures with the sky producing its own light show.
Temperatures will rise starting Friday, July 12.
Most of Oklahoma will get back into the low 100s starting on Friday, July 12. And they'll stay there till Thursday of next week when another round of storms is expected to impact Oklahoma.
Oklahoma will stay dry through the weekend and beginning of next week.
Northern Oklahoma has some low chances of isolated storms on Friday but after that, the Sooner State will remain dry until the next round of storms are expected late next week.
Storm chances will begin to slowly increase on Tuesday, July 16. But the best chances will be Wednesday and Thursday, with Thursday being the day that looks like a cold front will blow back through Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service in Norman encourages Oklahomans, especially those that will be working outside these next few days, to practice heat safety. Be sure to take frequent breaks and stay hydrated!
And just as important, make sure to take keep your pets safe from the heat!
