The City of Lawton is planning another virtual Town Hall meeting for this Thursday, December 10th (12-10-20) on the city's official Facebook page. The event will feature a panel of health experts and community leaders to discuss the current COVID-19 situation in Lawton, Fort Sill. There will also be a Q&A session so if you have questions start preparing them now. You can also submit your questions early via email.Below is the official press release from the City of Lawton with all the details:

The City of Lawton, in coordination with community partners, will host another Virtual COVID-19 Town Hall Panel at 10 a.m. December 10, 2020. The event will provide an update to the community on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Lawton area and be live-streamed via facebook.com/CityofLawton/

Panelists include Dr. David Hanley, Chief of Staff for Southwestern Medical Center; Dr. Scott Michener, Chief Medical Officer for Comanche County Memorial Hospital; Brandie Coombs, Director of the Comanche County Health Department; MG Kenneth Kamper, Fort Sill Commanding General; Kevin Hime, Lawton Public Schools Superintendent; and Lawton Mayor Stan Booker.

There will be an opportunity during the event for panelists to receive questions from citizens. Citizens may submit COVID-19 related questions preceding the event through publicaffairs@lawtonok.gov or tune in and leave questions in the comment section of the live feed.

There is currently a mask ordinance in place in the City of Lawton. Additionally, the City of Lawton is adhering to State guidelines and recommendations from the Office of the Governor in regard to the COVID-19 response.
