Lawton's birthday celebration continues with one of, if not THE, best rodeo's in Oklahoma!  The Lawton Ranger's have been 'round these parts for a long time.  They are steeped in tradition and history.

The Lawton Rangers were established back in the 1930's, they called themselves the Buckaroo's then.  They purchased the land where the L.O. Ranch Arena now sits in 1944 and began the rodeo tradition that has grown into one of the largest purse rodeos on the PRCA circuit.  Cowboys and cowgirls come from all over the country to participate in this rodeo.

The rodeo announcer is Charlie Throckmorton.  He's been announcing the Lawton Ranger's Rodeo for many years.  His clear tone resonates throughout the arena.  He knows a lot about each and every cowboy and cowgirl that enters that arena and shares their details with the crowd.  He plays along with the rodeo clown and keeps the crowd entertained throughout the evening.  Charlie was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in April of 2007.

The stock is brought to us again this year by Buetler & Sons Rodeo Co. out of Elk City.  Beutler and his son Rhett make up the Beutler and Son Rodeo Co., which provides bucking horses and bulls for rodeos across the nation. The company has had animals selected to buck at pro rodeo's world championship, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, for nearly every year of its six decades of existence.  Wait until you see some of the bulls these guys bring to the arena!  Many of them NFR and PBR bulls of the year!

The schedule for the week is;

Wednesday Night is Family Night!

Purchase 5 tickets for just $25 tonight.

Thursday Night is 2 for 1 Night!
