Merle Haggard ‘Red Bandana’ KLAW Classic [VIDEO]
Merle Haggard's 'Kentucky Gambler' was the #1 song 38 years ago today, January 18th, 1975. That's just one of the nearly 40 songs he's taken to the top of the charts. He's had a bunch that got close to #1, too. Nearly 25 songs hit the top 5 for Merle, including the song we chose for today's K-LAW Classic. We go back to 1979 and his album 'Serving 190 Proof'. Two songs were released from that album, each peaking at #4 on the country chart. 'My Own Kind Of Hat' and the K-LAW Classic today, 'Red Bandana'. We found a video of Merle and the crew doing the song in Canada in the late 70's. Enjoy!
