Oklahoma Impacted By Mud Rain This Week
Car washes across Oklahoma will be very busy this weekend as most of Oklahoma was impacted by mud rain this week. Severe storms and high winds blew a mix of rain and dust creating mud rain and dirtied cars across the state.
Earlier this week, Oklahoma received a bout of severe weather to kick off severe weather season. So far eight tornadoes have been confirmed from Tuesday, March 4 that impacted eastern and southeast Oklahoma. Other areas of Oklahoma received rain and hail.
Oklahoma has been significantly dry before storm season began, some areas hadn't seen rain for nearly three months, and the winter precipitation Oklahoma received in January didn't help the drought much. So the high winds that came through Oklahoma blew any loose dirt and came down with the rain this week. And the remnants of mud rain could be found on cars across Oklahoma.
Most Oklahomans waited a few days to wash their car since the high winds continued to blow dust and every now and then a little bit of rain fell from the sky regenerating mud rain.
Snow and rain possible in Oklahoma this weekend.
There's still rain in the forecast for most of Oklahoma, plus the potential for snow in western and southwest Oklahoma. So, unfortunately, Oklahomans may have to wait till Sunday to wash their cars as the potential for mud rain may continue with the upcoming snow and rain chances!
After Saturday, Sunday and the rest of the week are expected to be sunny with temperatures rising into the 70s. But as all Oklahomans know, more rain and severe weather will soon be on the way! Car washes make a pretty penny in Oklahoma during storm season.
