Rain has finally arrived in Oklahoma, and by Thursday evening, parts of Oklahoma could see anywhere from a drizzle to four inches of rain. Widespread heavy rainfall is expected Wednesday evening into Thursday morning for most of Oklahoma.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, the first wave of rain made its way through Oklahoma this morning. More widespread rain is expected start up Wednesday afternoon and continue into the evening. Localized heavy rainfall will will be possible across southeastern Oklahoma tonight and into early Thursday morning.

Thunderstorms possible Wednesday evening into Thursday.

Thunderstorms could develop Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. And more rain chances are expected during the day on Thursday with most of Oklahoma having an 80 to 100 percent chance of precipitation.

Slight risk of flooding expected for southeast Oklahoma.

Even though multiple areas of Oklahoma will receive rain over the next two days, only those in southeast Oklahoma are at a slight risk for flooding. These are the areas that could receive up to four inches of rain.

Temperatures will rise above average over the weekend.

After the rain moves through, Oklahoma will start to feel more like spring this weekend. Temperatures are expected to rise above normal this weekend, with the warmest days being Saturday and Sunday. Some areas of Oklahoma could get up to 80 degrees by Sunday.
