
Oklahoma May Experience Its First Freeze Of the Season Thursday
Oklahoma is shaping up to have quintessential Halloween weather this year! A very strong cold front will move through Oklahoma on Tuesday and it could bring the state's first frost of the season by Thursday morning, and leaving perfect fall weather for trick-or-treating on Friday.
The wind will pickup Tuesday across Oklahoma as a cold front pushes in strong north winds. The cold front is expected to begin moving into Oklahoma on Tuesday morning and will last through Wednesday.
Oklahoma could see wind gusts over 40 miles per hour.
According to the National Weather Service in Norman, wind gusts are expected to reach over 40 miles per hour both Tuesday and Wednesday. Western Oklahoma can expect to see the highest wind gusts during this time.
The wind gusts may make it difficult to travel and could blow objects around, including Halloween decorations!
Rain chances increase for northern and southeast Oklahoma on Tuesday.
With the strong cold front, rain chances are expected to increase Tuesday, particularly for northern and southeast Oklahoma. A few thunderstorms are possible but are not expected to be severe.
Northwest Oklahoma may see its first freeze of the season on Thursday.
Thursday will be a very chilly morning across Oklahoma. But northwest Oklahoma, and possibly western parts of the state, could see their first freeze of the season. Below freezing temperatures are possible Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma and western parts of the state.
Other areas may see a frosty morning Thursday with temperatures hovering right above freezing. Southeast Oklahoma could see morning temperatures 40 and above Thursday.

Oklahoma will have a perfect fall evening for Halloween.
Those in Oklahoma who are planning on trick-or-treating or to pass out candy on Halloween can expect perfect fall weather on Friday. Daytime highs will be in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s and upper 30s.
So far, no rain is expected on Halloween!
