The Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts A Warm And Dry Spring for Oklahoma
Spring is just around the corner! And The Old Farmer's Almanac is expecting Oklahoma to have a warm and dry spring this year.
Although Oklahoma is currently enduring an arctic blast, the state is expected to experience above average temperatures before February is over. March 1 will mark the first day of meteorological spring, and Oklahoma is expected to be in the mid 70s that day.
The Old Farmer's Almanac has predicted a warm and dry spring for Oklahoma.
In January, The Old Farmer's Almanac released its spring forecast for 2025 and is expecting Oklahoma to have a warm and dry spring. The Old Farmer's Almanac expects April in Oklahoma will begin with below normal temperatures but May will be warmer than most, at least three degrees above average.
The above average heat is expected to linger through summer in Oklahoma, whereas rainfall will be slightly below average to near normal.
When spring begins on March 1, The Old Farmer's Almanac will be correct about it being a warm spring as Oklahoma is set to have above average temperatures. But the NOAA's eight to 14 day extended outlook expects Oklahoma to experience above average precipitation chances as well.
The Farmers' Almanac is also expecting Oklahoma to have a warm spring, but it isn't predicting the state to be dry. The Farmers' Almanac predicts that Oklahoma will have a wet a thunder-filled spring.
Oklahomans have seen dry and storm-filled springs, and they know for a fact that Oklahoma weather is tough to predict! Either way, Oklahomans will always want to remain weather aware during the spring.
