September will steadily get cooler in Oklahoma.
Even though the return of warmer-than-average temperatures are annoying for most Oklahoma residents, it won't last for long. As September continues, Oklahoma is expected to slowly cool down.
According to the National Weather Service in Norman, high temperatures begin to decrease by 10 degrees during September as the seasons transition from summer to fall. The decrease occurs because of less daylight hours and more frequent cold fronts and storm systems.
