The first Number 1 for Randy Travis came on this day 26 years ago today. 'On The Other Hand' was originally recorded by Keith Whitley, then by Travis in 1986. It was the first release from his album, 'Storms of Life', but only made it to #67 on the charts. However, after the success of his second release, '1982', the record label decided to re-release 'On the Other Hand'. Much to the delight of writers, producers, record label, and of course Randy Travis, the song found the Number 1 spot. Here's your KLAW Classic for today!
