The Henry Post Army airfield on Fort Sill will be celebrating it's 100th anniversary on Saturday April 7th 2018 (04-07-18) and the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team will be there! It's going to be an incredible afternoon complete with an airshow! All kinds of military aircraft are coming in to be a part of the celebration. We'll be seeing all kinds of airplanes  on display and in the airshow. The best part, IT'S FREE TO ATTEND!

Kelso and I had the opportunity late last year to visit them in Frederick, OK. before their annual open hanger day to experience first hand what they do and what they're all about. Needless to say it was an unforgettable afternoon! We arrived on the field early that morning and were welcomed by the entire team all decked out in period correct uniforms and equipment. It was a sight to see!

Everyone was so cool and answered a million questions. We got to see them jump and even got to go aboard their own C-47 lovingly called "Boogie Baby" and watch the team jump from the aircraft at 1,500 feet, it was awesome! These guys are the real deal, and so is their C-47, it flew over the skies in Europe during WWII. It's literally a flying piece of American history! The team is set to jump at the Henry Post Airfield on Fort Sill during the 100th anniversary celebration you won't want to miss it!

The airshow is open to the public and free to attend. The event will take place on Saturday, April 7th (04-07-18) from 10:00am until 4:00pm at the Henry Post Army airfield on Fort Sill. We'll not only get to see the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team in action, there's an airshow, static displays, food vendors and a kid zone for thre little ones.
