Today is the day, happy 420! To celebrate there are several Lawton, Fort Sill restaurants that are doing special offers and discounts today in observance of 420.
It's been two long years. if you haven't heard the glorious news yet, they're bringing it back! Mexican Pizza will be returning to the menu at all the Lawton, Fort Sill Taco Bell restaurants. About damn time!
You've probably seen all the construction going on near the corner of 38th Street and Lee Blvd in Lawton. Well, we finally have confirmation on what's being built there and some of the rumors we've been hearing for months were true!
Yesterday evening we heard the feel-good story about a mysterious couple who "paid it forward" in a BIG WAY and left a BIG TIP at Leo & Kens in Lawton, OK. The anonymous couple paid for everyone's meal at the restaurant and before leaving they tipped the restaurant staff several thousand dollars.
Lawton, Fort Sill has a brand new restaurant, Phillyhoma just recently opened for business. They're located in the old Crockett's BBQ building at 1508 W. Gore Blvd.
Looks like the new Comanche Nation Casino in Cache, OK. will be opening soon. I drove past the site over the weekend heading to the Wichita Mountains and from what I saw the wait is almost over.
Now this is a really cool idea and one I would have never thought of. There's a dog park that's also a restaurant and pub in Oklahoma City called Solo's Park & Pub. It's located at 13310 Pawnee Drive in OKC so it's just a short trip down I-44 and about an hour or so away from Lawton, Fort Sill. It's the perfect place to take the entire family, including the dog!
Looks like Lawton, Fort Sill will be getting a new restaurant sometime soon. The old Crockett's Smokehouse building on Gore located at 1508 W Gore Blvd has been bought or leased.
Today's the day, the McRib is back! The wait is finally over and you can now order the McRib at all Lawton McDonald's. That's what I ate for lunch and what I plan on eating for dinner as well. It'll only be out for a limited time so you have to fill up and eat as many as possible while you can. Or at least I do. The sad day will come when it will be removed from the menu and we'll have to wait an entire year for it to return.
The Chick-fil-A on Cache Road is back open today (08-19-20) after being temporally shutdown due to COVID-19 concerns. The entire restaurant has been completely strip cleaned inside and out and thoroughly sanitized after last week's exposure to the Coronavirus. They'll be open from 10:30am to 8:00pm and I'll be hitting the drive-thru for lunch today to get my chicken on. It's great to have them back up and running.
The COVID-19 pandemic has done more than it's fair share of damage to the health and well being of not just people, but businesses over the post several months. There are hundreds if not thousands of business who's fate is still unknown, or who have unfortunately already closed due to corona virus. Now it's looking like Chuck E. Cheese might be the next victim of COVID-19.
There's been a lot of construction on S.W. Lee Blvd around the 37th block next to Archer's Corner and across from the Walmart Neighborhood Market. It's right before you get to the intersection of Lee and 38th Street.
