Everywhere across the Sooner State is looking at overnight lows in the low-to-mid 20s at some point between Sunday and Wednesday.

From the high plains of Kenton and Boise City way out in the panhandle to the lowland swamps of Idabel in the extreme southeast corner of Oklahoma, our first big deep freeze is going to be a whopper.

Depending on where you live, it's also going to linger for a few nights. OKC is currently looking at hard freezes three nights in a row. Other towns across the rural wilderness will get four and five nights in the mid-20s.

With the cold, there is also potential for a little winter weather.

While the majority of the state is getting some really beneficial rainfall this week, and predicted to continue through the weekend, there is going to be more than enough moisture and humidity in the air and ground to cause a little slippy weather... maybe.

If enough of that moisture remains in the air, it'll likely become freezing fog. It could mean a hazardous commute to work next week.

With the ground super-saturated with rain, it'll likely freeze too with no expectation yet on how it will play out in real time.
