Waylon & Willie ‘Good Hearted Woman’ KLAW Classic
Our KLAW Classic today is a tribute of sorts to Tina Turner! No, really, it was inspired by an advertisement of a performance by Tina Turner, described as a 'Good hearted woman, loving two timing men'. Waylon Jennings saw this ad and went to find Willie Nelson who was in the middle of a poker game to tell him his idea for a song. Waylon joined the poker game and they worked on the song as they played. Waylon recorded the song for his 'Good Hearted Woman' album, but it didn't reach the top of the charts until Waylon and Willie recorded it together. From 37 years ago today, here's your KLAW Classic
