Oklahoma and Texas Will See Lower Prices at ALDI This Summer
Shoppers in Oklahoma and Texas struggling with the grocery bill can breathe a little easier this summer. ALDI recently announced that it will be reducing prices to help consumers combat inflation.
According to a press release, ALDI is hoping to put $100 million back into the pockets of consumers by reducing prices on over 250 items. These items are said to be "summer essentials."
ALDI is reducing costs on already low-priced seasonal must-haves including picnic necessities, BBQ essentials, travel-ready snacks and better-for-you foods.
This is the second price decrease for ALDI in a year.
This announcement adds on to ALDI's similar announcement last year by reducing prices to save shoppers over $60 million, nearly doubling the savings from last year. In the press release, ALDI U.S. President Dave Rinaldo said that ALDI is always looking for ways to help its customers save money.
... but with more experts warning of persistent inflation, the time was right to deliver even greater discounts on our already low prices for the second year in a row. We don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season.
