Fort Sill Update

Soldiers and the Lawton Fort Sill Community have an opportunity to meet with national and local employers today at the Red River Career Expo.  The expo will be held from 12:30 to 4pm in the Aggie Rec Center at Cameron University.

MG Mark McDonald along with other VIP's will be grilling up Buffalo Burgers starting Saturday at 11am in the Co-Op Park near the Martha Songbird Area located behind the New Post Chapel.  This is a great community event for  Co-Op partners and runs until 3pm.

The weather looks to be perfect for the 19th annual Devil Dog Run, scheduled for Saturday, September 15 at the New Post chapel.  The US Marine Artillery Detachment is hosting this run.  Registration is $15, but will be $20 on race day.

Former NFL and USC Trojan football player, Thomas Williams is set to speak to Soldiers on the subject of leadership, today at 1pm at the Reserve Center, Building 3955.

Our Fort Sill Update this week features Garrison Commander Col. Paul Hossenlopp, as MG Mark McDonald is traveling once again.

If you have ever driven on or near Fort Sill at 5pm, you may have noticed something out of the ordinary.

The Department of Defense has recently opened another MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) to include women, according to MG Mark McDonald during today's Ft. Sill Update.

The Commanding General of Ft. Sill, MG Mark McDonald has returned from his travels and visited with the Morning Crew about several events taking place this weekend, and in the very near future at Ft. Sill.

Fort Sill Garrison Commander Col. Paul Hossenlopp gave us the latest on the upcoming free Brad Paisley concert during the Fort Sill Update this morning.
