Most of Oklahoma will have one more day of dangerous heat before a cold front blows in with cooler temperatures and increased rain chances. Northern Oklahoma started seeing cooler temps and rain Thursday morning as the cold front starts moving through Oklahoma.

A majority of Oklahoma will see temperatures below average this weekend and rain chances will be possible Thursday through Sunday morning. The cooler temperatures and rain will be a much welcomed relief from several days of extreme summer heat and little to no rain.

How cool will it be in Oklahoma?

Temperatures on Thursday will be different across Oklahoma. Areas of northern Oklahoma will be much cooler than the rest of the state. Areas of central and southern Oklahoma will still be pretty warm as the cold front moves south. Southern Oklahoma will still see temperatures well above 100 on Thursday.

But all of Oklahoma will begin to feel the cold front on Friday as temperatures will start to creep below average and into the 90s. Temperatures will remain below average until things begin to warm back up on Monday next week.
