31 years ago today this was the #1 song and was on her album '9 to 5' and 'Odd Jobs'. It was a pop hit in 1969 for Kenny Rogers and the 1st Edition. Bill Anderson had a hit with it in 1969 as well. Mike Settle, the guitar player for the 1st Edition wrote the song.
