The City of Lawton, FISTA Development Trust Authority and the Comanche County Health Department have teamed up to make getting your COVID-19 vaccinations much easier. Starting today (02-22-21) the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) will be set up in the Central Mall in the old Dillard's location doing COVID-19 vaccinations. Having a place that can be set up long term is ideal and very helpful.

By doing this it should speed up the process and allow healthcare professionals and volunteers a semi-permanent set up and location to provide vaccinations. Currently Oklahoma is still in Phase 2 of the vaccine roll-out which includes: First responders, paid and unpaid, health care workers providing direct, COVID-19 outpatient care and services, adults age 65 and older, and adults of any age with comorbidities, teachers and staff in Pre-K-12 schools and educational settings, staff and residents in congregate locations and worksites, public health staff supporting front line efforts.

To see if you're eligible for COVID-19 vaccination and/or to get registered visit the official Oklahoma State Department of Health website. At this time no known date has been published or announced for Phase 3 of the vaccine roll-out. You can always per-register by going to the Oklahoma COVID-19 vaccination portal and signing up. As more and more vaccine becomes available and as we move our way through all the various phases it will become easier and easier to get your vaccinations. It was also announced a few weeks ago that Walmart and Sam's Club pharmacies will be doing vaccinations as well. If you're wanting more information on that click here to read the article.

Below is the official press release from the City of Lawton that details the use of the Dillard's location in the Central Mall for COVID-19 vaccinations.
