The brand new Panera Bread in Lawton across from Walmart on Sheridan Road and next door to Raising Cain's Chicken is starting to take shape. Every time I pass by there more and more has been done. It looks like most of the exterior walls and structure are completed, nor they're working on roughing in the interior.

Looks like Lawton, Fort Sill will be getting a new restaurant sometime soon. The old Crockett's Smokehouse building on Gore located at 1508 W Gore Blvd has been bought or leased.

Someone needs to buy this property and turn it into a diner, or burger joint. I cut through downtown this morning and passed by what I think was the old Lawton Housing Authority building. You know the one, it's got the train car set up out front. It's right across the street from C.L. Boyd Co Inc. and near the corner of Southeast 2nd street and Southeast F Ave. I love that old building and wish I had the means to buy it and transform it into a 50's style diner, it would make the coolest restaurant in town.

They're asking that you take a quick survey online about how COVID-19 has impacted your business or organization. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and all information obtained will remain confidential. This will help the city determine the best possible response to assist local and area businesses going forward.

It won't be long now, the new Panera Bread in Lawton, Fort Sill is now under construction on Sheridan Road next to Raising Cain's Chicken and across from Walmart. They've gotten a good start, the outside walls are now in place and they're working on bricking and roughing in the interior.

The brand new EzGo is open at 2620 West Gore Blvd. We ran by yesterday and grabbed some hotdogs and other snacks for lunch. They have the best hotdogs and sausages around. I'm a HUGE fan of their Cheddarwurst and Pepperjack sausage. They all kinds of stuff and it's the perfect quick stop for a bit to eat and to fill up.

Great news, the brand new Sonic on Sheridan Road in Lawton is NOW OPEN! Awhile back we lost 2 Sonic Drive Ins here in town, the one on Lee Blvd near 2nd street and the one closest to Fort Sill on Sheridan road. We were all wondering what was going on and worried that Sonic Drive Ins were closing in town. Then we saw them breaking ground and building the new location at 1609 N.W. Sheridan Road.

If you've been down Gore Boulevard lately you've seen all the construction going on near the 18th block at 1801 West Gore. So what's being built? It's the new Chiefs Smokin Icehouse!

There's only two things guaranteed in life, death and taxes or in this case Death & Axes mobile axe throwing trailer! This has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen and honestly there isn't a person I know who wouldn't want to step up and throw an axe at the target, repeatedly.

If it's been awhile since you've been on the west side of Lawton the new Starbucks is close to be completed. It won't be long now before you'll be able to stop in or drive thru for all your favorite drinks and treats.
