Above Average Temperatures Continue In Oklahoma This Week
If anyone's looking for true fall weather, they won't find it in Oklahoma. What feels like a second summer is currently impacting Oklahoma with above average temperatures. Luckily, a slow moving fall cold front will enter Oklahoma on Friday, Sept. 20. So could we finally see an end to summer-like temperatures?
All areas of Oklahoma are expected to endure above average temperatures during the week of Sept. 16-20. Some areas may even get close or right at 100 degrees for daytime highs - these areas are expected to be southwest Oklahoma. And, unfortunately, over night lows are expected to jump back up into the 70s.
Another disappointment is that not very many rain chances are expected this week, but precipitation chances are likely to increase once this weekend's cold front starts to move into Oklahoma.

Here's when Oklahoma can expect its next cold front.
Oklahoma's next cold front is expected to start moving into the state on Friday, Sept. 20. KFOR Chief Meteorologist Mike Morgan posted on his official Facebook page over the weekend about tracking the impact of this weekend's cold front. He stated that the cold front will be "slow moving" and is expected to bring in rain/storms that will impact past of western Oklahoma.
Cooler weather is also expected to continue through Sunday, Sept. 22, Monday, Sept. 23 and Tuesday, Sept. 24. As of Monday, Sept. 16, it's too far out to see how much of an impact this cold front will have on Oklahoma moving forward. But if it keeps temperatures cooler and brings in more rain, there's no Okie that will complain.
