Summer is slowly creeping into Oklahoma. We've seen some really hot days recently, but with the upcoming forecast, it looks like cooler temperatures are headed our way, and of course, more rain.
Oklahomans should plan to get outside Wednesday, June 5 as it's the only day for the next seven days that doesn't have any rain or thunderstorms in the forecast. The day will be sunny and dry with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s.
Saturday, June 8 is the next day for widespread rainfall.
There's chances of rain Thursday and Friday in Oklahoma, but Saturday, June 8 is when Oklahoma could see its next round of widespread rainfall. The widespread rainfall is expected Saturday night and to last through early Sunday morning. A majority of Oklahoma has a 25 to 40 percent chance of precipitation.
Rain, rain, rain coming down the plains of Oklahoma!
Chances for rain will continue for the next seven days in Oklahoma. No severe thunderstorms are in the forecast as of Wednesday, June 5 but this could always change so it's important to remain weather aware!
No 100-degrees days... yet.
Oklahoma has already had some days that have felt like 100 degrees. Thankfully, another cold front is expected sometime next week as temperatures are expected to be in the 80s and low 90s, with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s. If only these temperatures would stay throughout the summer. Wouldn't that be nice? Let's enjoy it while we can.
