The City of Lawton will have elections for proposed amendments to the City Charter and positions for City Council in Wards 3, 4 and 5. All registered voters in Lawton will be able to vote on the amendments to the City Charter and only residents in Ward 3, 4 and 5 will be able to vote for the City Council representative in their respective wards.

According to the City of Lawton, the city is proposing two amendments to the City Charter. The proposed amendments include:

  • Implementing the True North Statement into different provisions to ensure it as a "guiding framework" for current and future city officials.
  • The second amendment would change the probationary for city officials from six months to 12 months.

Residents in Wards 3, 4 and 5 will vote on City Council members.

The City of Lawton has three openings for City Council in Wards 3, 4 and 5. The current council members for Wards 4 and 5 will be seeking re-election while Ward 3 Councilmember Linda Chapman will not seek re-election.

Only residents in Wards 3, 4 and 5 will be able to vote for their respective city council members. Lawton residents can use their address to look up what ward they're in via the City of Lawton's website.

  • Ward 3 Candidates: Kirby Brown, Paul Greene, Charlie Pulliam
  • Ward 4 Candidates: George Gill (incumbent), Andrew Norris, Tiffiney Dimery, David Stebleton, Ronald Ballew
  • Ward 5 Candidates: Allan Hampton (incumbent), David Burkett
