For those in Oklahoma planning on voting in the Nov. 5 General Election, they will want to make sure they're registered to vote by Friday. The deadline in Oklahoma to register to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election is set for Friday, Oct. 11.

How to register to vote in Oklahoma.

Oklahomans can check their voter registration online, and if not registered to vote, Oklahoma has multiple ways for citizens to register to vote. They can register to vote online, by mail or in person, but the registration deadline for each is Oct. 11. If Oklahomans choose to register to vote online, they can do so via the OK Voter Portal's Voter Registration System.

Those registering to vote by mail must have their Voter Registration Application filled out, signed and post marked by 5 p.m. on Oct. 11. Voter registrations can be mailed or hand delivered to the voter's County Election Board. If Oklahomans opt to register to vote in person, they can do so at their local County Election Board, local tag agency or select public assistance agencies.

All Oklahomans are highly encouraged to check their vote registration status after recent voter purge.

In September, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and other elected officials announced that the state purged 453,500 voter registrations. This removal was done over the course of four years through routine auditing. The voter registrations that were removed were done so for two reasons: the voter moved states/countries or the voter hasn't voted since 2016.

If an Oklahoma voter was removed, they are able to register again if they currently meet Oklahoma's voting requirements. Since the purge, Oklahoma voters have been encouraged to check their voter registration ahead of the Nov. 5 election. Oklahomans can register to vote or check their voter registration status online through the Oklahoma Voter Portal.

Sample ballots are now available to view for all registered voters in Oklahoma.

More than just the opportunity to vote in the United States Presidential Election will be on the ballot in Oklahoma. Ahead of the Nov. 5 election, Oklahomans can now view their sample ballot to see what all they will be voting on.

All Oklahoma registered voters can view their sample ballot on the Oklahoma Voter Portal.
